Press ReleaseEMLab P&K's Las Vegas, NV Laboratory Now AIHA Accredited for Mold AnalysisSan Bruno, CA, January 7, 2014 – EMLab P&K, a TestAmerica company, announced today the accreditation of its mold lab in Las Vegas, Nevada by the American Industrial Hygiene Association® (AIHA) for mold analysis (EMLAP # 208900). Clients are now able to send spore trap samples for mold lab analysis to the Las Vegas location. With this accreditation, all EMLab P&K laboratories and MicroLabs nationwide are AIHA accredited for mold analysis. "Achieving AIHA accreditation demonstrates our ability to meet their stringent guidelines and we are excited to support our clients with spore trap analysis at our Las Vegas laboratory. Our clients will have confidence that the data we produce and our QA systems are of the highest quality," stated Dave Gallup, EMLab P&K's General Manager and Co-Founder. AIHA provides unbiased third-party review of quality performance by a laboratory through strict series of assessments. AIHA accreditation represents a laboratory's proven ability to meet or exceed rigorous standards provided by AIHA Accreditation Programs, LLC. The accreditation programs operated by AIHA Laboratory Accreditation Programs, LLC meet international program requirements established under ISO/IEC 17011. Areas of assessment include: quality systems, personnel, equipment, measurement traceability, sampling, accommodation and environment, test and calibration methods, handling and reports. In addition to the mold accreditation, the EMLAB P&K Las Vegas facility is NVLAP-accredited for PLM bulk asbestos analysis (NVLAP Lab Code 500056-0).
